Countertop ovens also come as countertop convection ovens. This is when the oven has a fan inside allowing the hot air to circulate inside the oven. It is recommended that when using a convection oven food should be cooked 20 degrees C cooler and that the food is checked roughly ten minutes earlier than when using a regular oven. Some are fitted with interior lighting, this doesn't aid the cooking of the food in any way.
There are obvious benefits to using a countertop oven, both financial and economical. The countertop oven cooks food up to 35% faster and when using the convection feature cooking time is greatly reduced therefore saving more energy and money.
