Commercial Microwave
The commercial microwave oven method of cooking was discovered by accident. Microwave ovens uses microwaves, which are a type of radio wave, to cook the food. A scientist was experimenting with radio waves and noticed that the chocolate bar he was holding melted. He identified the source of energy as the radio waves and microwave cooking was born.
Since that time the microwave oven has become a part of practically every home kitchen. Commercial microwaves are also very common. They are usually larger and sturdier than the domestic versions.
There are a number of different categories of commercial microwave ovens. We have divided them into the list shown on the right.
